Hi,

After suggestions from a couple of people I said yes to formatting the flash card. I was then able to successfully copy the maps onto it. But on putting it back in the PK it still doesn't recognise it. Could I have made a mistake during formatting? When formatting it there was a choice of FAT32 or FAT and I chose FAT32.

Also - now - I've just put the card back in the PC and it's again saying it's not formatted. I guess I should give up on this card?

Subject: Corrupt Compact Flash

Hi,

After concluding that some of my Sendero maps on my CF card were corrupt I downloaded them and tried to copy them onto the card. But a while through copying I got a message from Windows saying it could not copy as the file/directory were corrupted and unreadable. It wasn't clear whether it meant the files I was copying or the card I was copying them to. But now when I put the card into the PK it doesn't recognise it and when I put it into the PC it says it isn't formatted and asks if I want to format it now.

So I guess this card is unusable? Should I say yes to formatting it? Should I get a new card?
