Hi All, Although I do kind of like having the security of having the warranty/service agreement and did just recently renew it on my PK, being able to keep that $500 for not renewing the mPower warranty was kind of a nice feeling as well. Then, too, who knows; for, should something be wrong with a unit and HW determine that the damage was caused by the user, then one might have to pay more, anyway. Or, at least with the warranty info I could find, it didn't cover batteries, nor did it cover accidental damage done to the unit.
Now, as I said, I did find info on the HW hardware warranty, but I only found it by searching Google to get it from other web sites. So, either I was looking in the wrong place on the HW site, or the info just isn't there anymore one. Speaking of cleaning, though, does anyone know how much it costs in the United States without the warranty? I'm guessing one would pay shipping to and from HW in that case as well. Hi Nikki and list, personally I think $500 is a lot and I have chosen not to purchase one. I really think that it's not worth it--it's not that expensive to have a cleaning, etc. I could use $500 for a down payment on a new unit. Lol.
