Two things.
1. The only good displays are the displays in the transplants.
2. This newest practice of HumanWare is very unorthodox. Is
this what corporate business for the blind and visually impaired
has become? If so, it's time we band together and come up with a
plan.
Not so long ago, Freedom Scientific sued FreedomBox for the use
of the word "Freedom". Well, this is much worse. You see, each
of those companies still have their customers and product base.
With the newest practice of HumanWare, if confirmed, we need to
ban together and stop the money flow.
Here's personal insight. When Chuck and I called HumanWare
about the braille display on the new mPower. We were told by
Greg Brown that new units were supposed to be sent in every six
months for cleaning and sitting in a solution. In our opinion,
this is total stupidity. It's hard enough to be without our unit
for one time a year, but twice? That's ridiculous. If this is
what the next family of BrailleNote stands for, we should have
all stayed with the classics HumanWare had no problem taking our
money for the transplant, "our" meaning everyone who
transplanted. Perhaps HumanWare should pay back for all of the
transplants.
