Hi list,
I'm posing this question to see what I can do to help fix a wireless network
issue. I'm running ks 7.5.20 with a bnbt 32 MPower.
I was happily browsing the internet on my bn tonight and had to take the
ConnectPlus CF card out so that I could turn off the bn for later use. When
I got back to the internet, it kept giving me the message "connecting to
wireless, please wait" so I wait, wait, wait. Then it said something to the
effect of, Windows CD networking: dhcp could not obtain an IP address. If
your network card is removable, you can remove/reinsert it and dhcp will try
to obtain an IP address for it. Otherwise, you may statically enter an
address." Those words are not verbatum, but close enough to giv3e you the
gist of the error. I tried a general reset with only the reset button.
Should I go ahead with the other two resets with 1-2-3 and 4-5-6, backing up
my files beforehand? Or, is there another reason this may have happened? It
seems to have just happened instantly. I didn't reset my bn with the card in
it or turn it off with the card inserted, or anything like that.
