I am not sure why the bn said access denied on the cf card, but
it sounds like you need to view hidden files; from the file list
in any prompt, press space-x (not sure of the qt command) and
then see if you can find the .cdb file on your cf card. This
should have your data in it. Move it back to the same folder as
your definition file and all should be well again.
Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Database problems
Hi,
I created a database and had it on the flashdisk. But then I
thought it'd
be better to keep it on the compact flash. So I went to the file
manager
and moved the file to the compact flash. When I moved it it said
2 files
moved so I thought both the definition file and the data file had
been
moved.
Then when I went into Database Manager and tried to open the
database from
the compact flash it said access is denied. I didn't know why
this should
be but I thought maybe I'd better move it back to the flashdisk
for some
reason. When I moved it back File Manager didn't say anything
about 2 files
being moved.
Then I went back into Database Manager and opened the database
from the
flashdisk and it said the database for it didn't exist and do I
want to
create it now, implying that the data file had not been moved.
Now according to file manager on the flash disk there's a file
which is just
a keybase definition file, and there are no files in the folder I
created
for them on the compact flash. But when I look using Activesync,
according
to that there are the definition and data files on the flashdisk,
and the
data file on the compact flash.
I'm not sure what has happened here. Can anyone explain? And
how do I put
it right/get to my data again? How come these files don't appear
in file
manager but they do in Activsync? What do I do?
Catherine
