Hi Alice,
PK actually IS the mp3 player (sort of).
In order to move files faster between a PK
and a computer, you'll need two things: a
CompactFlash card and a USB CF card reader.
All you need to do is place the CF card in
the card reader, connect the card reader,
copy the mp3 file over to CF card, take it
out and insert the card onto the CF slot on
the PK.
Have you tried using ActiveSync connection to
browse the web? (Maybe I should consider this
for one of my KB articles).
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] MP3 player and lost in
the stacks
Hi, all,
I have never used an MP3 player before,
but I recently joined the lost in the stacks
list, and the books that you can download
from there are apparently meant to be played
on an MP3 player. The PK has one, so can
somebody tell me how to move the book from
the computer onto the MP3 player on the PK?
Or can I download the book right onto the MP3
player on the PK? The book I tried
(unsuccessfully, *sigh*) to download onto the
computer said it was going to take 8 hours or
something, so would it take that long on the
PK, too? And, truth be told, I have not
managed to connect to the internet on the PK
yet anyhow, although I do now have the
wireless ting set up. Like Leslie, when I've
tried e-mail, I get that please wait message,
and, although the PK is not frozen up, I can
go on and do other things, that please wait
message never goes away, so I guess I never
establish a connection. I'm obviously
completely unsure of how this all works.
Thanks.
Alice
