Lists of applications, like app menus, are space, joystick, or space-dot 4. Lists of documents or folders are the same. Lists of records in a database (keybase, keymail, keylist) are space-5-6. Lists of options, like when at a specific prompt in some menu in the options menu, are space-3-4. HTH.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Navigating Menus

Hi all,

I've just been looking over some notes that I have taken from the
BrailleNote tutorial CD. I'm a bit confused about knowing how to
navigate through the menus in that knowing which method to use.
For
instance, I have written down that you can use the joystick or
the
spacebar, pressing enter or the joystick in to enter the
submenus. But
this isn't true in all cases, as sometimes you have to press dots
3 and
4 or 1 and 6 or even sometimes 2 and 3 or 5 and 6 to navigate
through
lists, and I'm just wondering how users are supposed to know
which
method to use, if there is some kind of method that dictates the
command
that you are supposed to use to select options?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Karina
