hI Andy,
If you have an mPower, the SD card is the way to go. According to what I saw
on the Bootloader, it says, "1. update Windows CE (KeySoft) using an SD
card." Also, on one of the options, it allows a developer to choose to boot
to an SD card instead of Flash Disk.

I do not have an sd card, nor do I want to pay for one unless it's my only
option for updating to 7.5.28. I mean, my unit came with 7.5.20 in it but I
really, really want to have 7.5.28 but I really wish I could use a cf card.
I use cf cards for  backups, cf cards for the dictionary, cf cards for this
thing, that thing... And if I could use a cf card uupdate this thing I'd be
so happy if it could!

Just so ya know I have a bn mPower.bt using 7.5.20.
