Hi, Alice,

A bookmark or placemark is a code placed in a document so you can jump to a specific location in a document. I'm a QT user, so I can't help you with the specific commands, but the menu goes something like this:

To define a placemark, you would press the bt equivalent for read with d. You get the message: "define placemark letter?" You would type a letter from a to z and press enter. You get the message "Place A" or whatever letter you chose. To jump to a placemark in a document, you would press the bt equivalent for read with p. You would get the message: "Jump to placemarker letter?" Type the letter of the placemark you wish to jumb to.

If you never define a placemark in a book using Keybook, you will never get the prompt to save the document as a KeyWord file.

Routing the cursor is not the same as defining a placemark, but it's a convenient way to be sure to be at the same location when you open the document again. ----- Original Message ----- From: "alice dampman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Terri Pannett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Adam" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[email protected]>

Hi, Terry,
I never get that message when I shut down a book downloaded from web braille. And I have a related question: how can I find the place that I've put the cursor in in the book? Is that the same as creating a bookmark? BTW, I have a PK.
Thanks
Alice

Dear Adam,

If you want to place a bookmark in a book, you must answer yes when the
bookreader prompts you to save the book as a keyword document.

The answer to your second question is yes. But you must first convert the
music files to a format which is supported by the BN.
