Wow, didn't know that, now I can use both my gmail and comcast email on the bn! That's the great thing about this list, you end up receiving useful messages from other people.
Thanks again,
Nick

Hi,

If you can't receive, it is the pop side of things which is in
trouble.
Take a look in the KeySoft system disk NONE folder for a file
called something like pop.log.
There might be messages in there.

For the gmail settings, I have pinched the info below from a
message on the list a while ago.
Don't know if it works as haven't got gmail:-

The pop server is pop.gmail.com
and the smtp is smtp.gmail.com
Check yes for both of the ssl boxes & the smtp authentication
box.

The pop port is 995 and the smtp port is 465.

Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] GMail help and other email question

Hi,
I attempted to add my GMail account to my keymail yesterday. I
have been
able to get emails to send, but can't get it to download new
mail. Does
anyone know the proper port setting?
Also, my employer increased security on their server, so that
we now have
a secure smtp server. I have checked the appropriate box in
keymail for
that account, but now can only receive email there. Any
suggestions?
Everything else appears to match the hosts instructions to the
letter.

Thanks for any and all help.

Patricia
