Actually under the Merchantability Of Goods Laws of the United
Kingdom and the European Union, since William's BrailleNote has
not performed to his reasonable expectations within 24 months
from date of purchase, I believe he can require Humanware to
either repair, replace or give him a full refund with no
restocking fee and may be entitled to seek compensation for any
out of pocket expenses he has incurred as a result of the unit's
malfunction, e. g. sending out his papers, essays etc. to a
commercial typing firm.

Let me tell you, in the E. U. the government absolutely hates
goods that don't work properly!
