Hello all, I just want to update you on the problem my husband Ray was having syncing his contact book to his BN M Power BT 32 transplant running Ks 7.5 B 28. He was getting an error message, something about fatal application or illegal operation. He has found out what the problem was and I am sharing his advice to fix the problem.
Whenyou get E-mail using Outlook 2002 or 2003 and copy the person's contact information directly from the E-mail using alt-E for edit; then go to Y for copy to folder and select contacts as the folder and press enter, it puts the entire E-mail in the notes section. For this reason, when you are checking the information before saving the contact, make sure you tab to the notes section, hit ctrl-home to go to the top and then do a ctrl-shift-end to select the whole thing and hit delete to clean it out. You will then be able to sync your contacts with the BN with no problem. He did this last night and this fixed the problem. He was able to sync his contact book between his BN and our PC which is running XP with Office 2002. The moral of this whole thing is that the BN cannot handle the E-mail being present in the notes section as this is too large for KS to handle. This is why it is necessary to clean out the notes section prior to syncing your contacts. I hope this helps someone out. *all outgoing mesages scanned for viruses using Norton Antivirus 2006.
