Try a pcmcia to cf converter. I hate to say I am not sure where
you can find one, but googling it should bring up a result. You
put it into the pcmcia slot (the slot on the right side of the
classic) then put your cf card into the converter. HTH.

I posted about this back in December, but here is some more
information
about my problem. This is a huge issue because right now we have
no way of
getting files into my student's Classic BrailleNote. [I have not

successful in the past when trying to use ActiveSync with a
desktop computer

We had been using the BrailleNote Disk Drive with the
PassportCard (from
Humanware) to transfer files until it stopped being recognized.
I had taken the BN into my local RadioShack store and they
determined that
they did not have a Compact Flash card that would fit the slot on
the BN, I
believe because the BN would take an older card than the ones
used now. The
guy there suggested a card with USB ports on it to go in the
PCMCIA slot,
even though that is not something that RS sells.
What I bought (on e-bay) is called a USB 2.0 CardBus PC Card -
the kind made
to go in laptops (and it worked in my laptop}. However, it was
not
recognized in the Classic BrailleNote.
I am just wondering if anyone knows if there is any way to make
it work or
if I am just out of luck (and a little money). And, if anyone
has any other
possibilities on how we can get files into this BN since the disk
drive
isn't working and it has no USB ports.

If there is only one slot and it's on the right side, you will
need a PCMCIA adapter to use the compact flash card. The card
fits into the PCMCIA adapter which slides into the slot. Also,
classics have no USB ports. Please clarify what you mean by a
Compact Flash Converter Drive.

CompactFlash to
USB Converter Drive with the understanding that I could use them
with my
student's BN Classic as an easier way to transfer files to and
from the
computer instead of using the disk drive. I haven't opened the
CompactFlash packaging yet because it is obvious that that card
is too
small for the CompactFlash drive/slot on the BN. Are there
different
sizes of CompactFlash cards? What should I be looking for?
