Hi,

I suspect if you delete an attachment from outside
of KeyMail, the email it belongs to then cannot be deleted.
I had two emails that "lost" their attachments, and I had to make a file of the right name in the attachments directory before I could delete those emails. You might be able to find out what emails have attachments in two ways. You could wander through the "All" folder in KeyMail, but this takes some time if there are many. You could set your KeyList file to "Email folders" in the Keymail directory, and copy all the records into a file. You would need a template for this, I can send you one if you mail me off list. (The template could simply include the subject and attachments field).
You can check that file for emails with attachments.
Then go back into KeyMail and search the "All" folder for those subjects.
Not tried that but should work.
Regards,
Steve.

Before you erase all those ensure there are none you need. I
recommend going through there using the directory option of the
file manager and showing hiden files. Erase all those you don't
need; there will probably; a lot of .gif files and things like
that, but make sure there are no attachments that you still want
before you erase.  Once those files are gone, they are gone;
emails will still show attachments but the attachments will not
be there anymore despite their seeming presence in the keymail
program.

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi Jane Have you tried deleting all files in /keymail/attachments
on the flash disk? I ran out of room on my flash disk also and
only accidentally discovered that these files were consuming 9 mb
of storage.

Hi Jane and List:
Jane, have you considered moving your file to a Cf or Sd card?
To be honest with you, Chuck and I don't even make files in the
Flash drive. You might want to give it a try.
 Hope this helps.
