Hi, yeah you only need the two bin files. to upgrade, remove all other
cards and devices and press reset with dots 4-6 (jl). you should hear
some acending tones and you should see "update menu vSomething" that
being the bootloader version you have. if it's already 2.7 you don't
need the bootloader update. if it's earlier, press b (2 on a qt.) it
should say loading, then after a few seconds erasing and writing. when
it's done you will be back at the bootloader menu, with a new version
number. now press a (1 on qt) and the real upgrade will start. Note:
do NOT!!! unplug the bn from ac or remove the sd card until the final
reset! anyway, once the upgrade starts, the bn will say loading
followed by a number. this number is a percent. next it should say
erasing with a number. then it says writing and a percentage. when
it's done, the unit will reset and put you at the main menu. you have
successfully upgraded your BrailleNote/voiceNote!
For more on upgrading a brailleNote, go to
blind-geek-zone.net/audio.html and look for BrailleNote podcast part 5
upgrading keysoft.mp3. I think it's also on braillenote.pbwiki.net.
