I just purchased a Corsair USB Voyager rubberized flash thumb drive memory stick with 32 Gig of memory. My Voice Note recognized it immediately as a hard drive and was able to navigate and do other file and folder functions with no problem. One warning though. If you move through the drive list and press space with i to get drive space information on this device, you had better plan on a long wait. It took several minutes to return the requested info and until it was done, it appeared to have frozen or hung the note taker but if I just waited it out, all worked as expected. There is no u3 boot software on this drive but it does include an encryption program for use with a PC that I deleted because it would be worthless if used on note takers. It also comes with a short usb cable which allows one to attach the Voyager to a usb port without having it sticking out the back of the note taker or from your computer usb port, where it could break if bumped wrong. It also comes with a neck strap with a clip that can be hooked to the end of the Voyager to keep it handy. It seems to be well built and is available through Amazon and other sites. I purchased mine locally through a brick and mortar store for around $250 including tax.
