oh yeah, .exe files are programmes.
the reason wich why we can't run .exe files on the braillenote is because
the braillenote can't run third party apps. how ever, as derek stated, .exe
files for the braillenote from HW are ok.

as alex said nothing will damage the bn, but don't try running any exe
files you download on the bn, unless you were advised to by hw or a
trusted source. If a file is corrupted, try downloading it again.
don't reset between the first and second download. If you wanna get
technical, the reason some exe files don't run on the pc is the bn
sometimes corrupts the "MZ" header, which tells windows to run the
program in dos mode, giving it a 64 kb chunk of memory to work with,
which is normally not nearly enough.

You can download whatever you want, though. Be warned that when
downloading .exe files the bn sometimes renames them to key1.5exe
for no reason. They normally still work on a pc but sometimes
will be corrupted. This is damage to the file, not the bn,
though. It is very, very hard to break keysoft so much that some
sort of reset will not fix it.
