terrie, this embosser is a very antique embosser, so has no language settings or the such. i don't know about 8 dot braille. but, what even more confuses me is that the printer just leaves spaces between the accents. even with the extended character set changed, this doesn't work very well.

Did you try changing the language settings for your embosser? You will have to change the language setup of your embosser for it to work. You will also have to make sure your embosser is set up to emboss 8 dot braille.
