Hi John

If you're using the embosser with a BN Classic. You can use either the
Parallel port or the serial port. Personally I'd use the Parallel port as
there are no port settings you need to change, where as with the serial
port, there are. 

. If you're using an Mpower you will need to use either, serial, or, if you
have a later Basic embosser, it should have a USB port. I use a Basic
embosser, so if you would like further assistance. Contact me off list.

     Is anyone using an Index Basic-D embosser with their BrailleNote?  If
