Hi John If you're using the embosser with a BN Classic. You can use either the Parallel port or the serial port. Personally I'd use the Parallel port as there are no port settings you need to change, where as with the serial port, there are.
. If you're using an Mpower you will need to use either, serial, or, if you have a later Basic embosser, it should have a USB port. I use a Basic embosser, so if you would like further assistance. Contact me off list. Hope that helps Debbie MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Skype: apparating.girl -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Panarese Sent: Saturday, 1 March 2008 1:53 PM To: BrailleNote List Subject: [Braillenote] Embossing with an Index Basic Hi folks, Is anyone using an Index Basic-D embosser with their BrailleNote? If os, which port are you using? I'd like to use the USB method, but I'm not sure which of the ports I'm supposed to choose. Thanks John D.
