Well, I had either forgotten, or just not noticed before, how
frustrating it can be trying to browse the web with the PK. For,
when my LapTalk computer of over four years died and I had to get
a new PC, I used my various note takers to do the online search
for the new computer. And, although I do have that PC now, I
have kind of gotten in the habit of just sitting on the couch and
browsing the web and checking email with one of my note takers.
Anyway, we already discussed the problem with the memory on the
BN family products, and how that limits just how much we can do
with a unit before some sort of reset. However, at least with
the mPower, when it starts to get low on the memory, you get a
message telling you that, maybe with some sort of error number.
But, with the PK on the other hand, the unit just freezes. For
example, if one tries to go to a web site, it will start to give
percentages and the please wait message, and that will be all you
will see until you do a c 1 and c 4 reset, as the c 3 and c 4
reset won't do a thing to bring the PK out of this situation.
And, very often, it only takes visiting two or three web sites to
cause this problem.
