Hi Hope,

Calibrating the battery simply means that you are going to reprogram the memory of the battery so it may work like it suppose to. Its kind of you restetting the battery to factory standards. To do so just let the battery run out by leaving the BrailleNote unit on until the battery completely drains. Then just charge it like anyother time and you have a working battery. You may want to drain the battery at least once every 2-3 months so it can stay calibrated. Other wise the battery will start to act up and give you wrong read outs when you check battery level. It works almost the same way as a cell phone battery. the more often you charge the battery when its not giving you warnings or dead then the life stam will not last. Finally if you aren't going to be using the BrailleNote for a long time, like if you are a student and have to give it to the school to store it over the summer then you'll need to drain it before putting it away or you'll be getting the same problem next time you charge it and start using it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hope Paulos" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Subject: [Braillenote] battery not keeping charge

Hi guys. Can anyone give me some info about the battery? How can I calibrate (and what exactly does this mean)? My battery went from 100 percent to 38 percent in about 4 hours of use. Can someone help me? Usually it lasts longer. I've not have the bn for very long.
Hope and Beignet
