As I understand it, part of the problem, in jaws anyway, is that
fs has not allowed any other company to use usb connections into
jaws. In this case it is not entirely the fault of hw at all,
much like the ms word support.

waiting for the port of KeySoft to Windows CE 6 as I've been

Actually I find USB plugs reasonably robust, but don't have any
serious fine motor control problems, although from time to time
the USB plugs and ports on this Dell XPS laptop defy mating with
each other!
