Stacey and List,
I am running 7.5.28 on a BN mPower BT32 transplant.
I created a database with two fields, the first string, the
second document.
I could use the <backspace>o from the field type prompt to get to
options for the string field, but not for the document--it just
gave an error beep.
The section 17.4.3 in the manual implies that you should be able
to put a help message on a document field.
I have mentioned this to someone in HW in the UK who said if he
could reproduce it he would forward the issue on in HW.
Just tried to make another database of six fields, one of each
type in order: string; document; number; yes/no; date; time.
Tried to add a help message by KeyWord in the definitions file,
but on re-entering the database by KeyBase, the Bn said there was
now an error in the date field.
Made another two field: string; document.
This allowed me to manually add a help message by KeyWord and
after use KeyBase to add a record.
Not sure I trust it though.
It did show me the message with <space>h in KeyBase.
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] Database manager question
Hi all,
I have created a database for account numbers. I went back and
added a
field called nots, and I want to ad a help message for this
field.
I've tried backspace with o on the field type area and options
won't come
up. What could I be doing wrong?
I'm running ks 7.01.
