Ottawa Canada Dear James and list:
The publication World Braille, available from NLS provides the name and I believe the contact info, or at least the mailing address of the Braille Authority of just about every country going. Try calling NLS and ask them to provide the contact info for the Italian Braille Authority. Problem you will probably have is their code book will probably be written in Italian Braille! Probably contracted too! So ask them if they can provide any Braille or electronic books that would help you learn Italian Braille. Years ago Hadley used to teach Italian Braille, as well as Spanish and French. Then they discontinued their foreign language Braille courses. I believe their stated reason was aging study materials and lack of qualified staff to teach them. Too bad as they had as extensive a selection of foreign languages as my high school and then some. Good luck. Brian Brian K.
