The cds have the maps of all of the 50 states which can be transfered from cd to computer and then computer to your cf, sd or a thumb drive which ever you have that can go from one machine to the other. I wouldn't use the gps with a thumb drive though. The cf card has your maps preloaded on there for you along with the manual a quick reference guide and your install program. Place the cf card in your bn and go to file manager on the main menu go into directory and hit spce with e or enter depending on what bn ou have. Then use the space bar to see what folders are on the cf card. To install the gps softwhere go to utilities and go to application program. It will ask what drive you want to install the program from. Go to your cf card the program will be on the none folder of your drive hit space with e or enter and then follow the prompts. It should bring up the program you want installed. You might need to press space bar to find out. I you would like mor e help you can email me or join the gps users list. The maps can also be downloaded from a computer with highspeed internet from the sendero web site.

Subject: [Braillenote] braillenote gps, where to start

i have just received my addons for the braillenote gps.
however i can't seem to be able to find any accessable
documentation for installing the software and maps.
in the box i got my gps receiver in its leather case, the
charger, my sd card which i assume is for the maps and software,
i think a small cd which i presume is the same software and maps
to be installed another way and a printed book.
is this book for the software or just for the receiver and can it
be scanned on my scanner?
i do have humanware's Scan r scanner so i am just wondering if
they only send out print documentation if you have their scanner?
i tried to find gps documentation on the internet a few days
before i ordered my software but couldn't find it.
