I guess everyone could have different experiences with these
cards. However, in both instances when this happened to me, it
wasn't too much longer after that till my card stopped working
altogether and had to be replaced.

I have discovered that when my wireless card is connected through
the flash card slot, the speech on Keynote Gold starts
stuttering, rather like a sticking CD. Is this a common
problem?
