Thank you so much for posting the article.  I think what it comes down
to is that one needs to decide for themselves what they want to use the
device for, and what the skill level is.  I know for myself that I could
easily move from the Braille Note to the Pacmate.  If I wanted too, but
for one thing I'm happy with the Braille Note and what it does for me,
and for another thing I don't have the money to simply move from one
piece of technology to another.  The best thing is that we as people who
are blind have choices based on our needs which hasn't always been true.
Finally, there needs to be places to go and people to talk to if people
need some help deciding what will work for them.  Buying a notetaker is
a big investment and people who are blind need to have al the
information they can before making the commitment, regardless of whether
the person is paying for it or not.
