Hi,
What about isopropol (spelling) alcohol? That was recommended for the
old Braille Lites, again, just a dampened nonlinting cloth. I've
never seen that recommended by Humanware, but that is used for
cleaning things electronic, including recorder heads.

If your water filter is a Reverse Osmosis one, then go for it,
that water is so pure they use it instead of distilled for Kidney
dialysis machines!
If it is some other kind of filter, check with the dealer who
sold it to you or its makers.
If it is a Culligan AC-30 or AC-100, it is Reverse Osmosis and
purer than a spring rain!
I may be overly cautious recommending distilled or R. O. water,
but it is always better to be safe than sorry, especially with
the cost of a replacement Braille display being what it is.
