Hi Sharon,
A long time ago, someone from HumanWare said that the battery
meter on the PK measures voltage reading. Depending on current
voltage, the battery level would change as well. Your own
conclusion regarding usage of storage cards and the battery meter
makes sense here.
Cheers,
Joseph P.S. I gueis its time for yet another website update...

Subject: [Braillenote] Question about Pk battery
Hi, I'm not sure if there is something wrong with the battery in
my new Pk. I charged it up fully last night and today I had only
been using for it a short while when it started saying battery
low and then battery is critical. When I checked the level it
was about 40 percent. Then I went to check email in with my
wireless card and I got the battery is critical so I checked the
level and it was at 3 percent so I took the card out and checked
again and the level was 33 percent. I have known the levels to
change depending on if the card is in or not but it isn't
normally that big a difference. I know I can't recalibrate the
battery on the Pk like you can on the MPower so I am going to let
it go totally flat and then do a full recharge to see if that
makes a difference but I was just wondering if anyone else has
had a similar problem or do you think I have been given another
problem Pk?
From Shaz.
Bn Qt MPower and Pk user.
