Sounds like your friend who is using a BrailleNote that belongs to their school should contact Humanware Tech Support +1 (800) 722-3393 and follow the prompts for tech support for blindness products. Or ask their resource teacher or electronics guru at their school for help. Since the unit belongs to their school and not directly to them personally, if it requires servicing they will need to have this arranged for by their resource teacher or electronics tech at their school or school district office.
