I'm not sure if I'm having quite the same problem as you, but
I've certainly ran into a similar problem with my mPower BT 32
running KS 7.5 Build 29.
I'm in Kentucky visiting my mother again, kind of watching after
her since she just recently had a stroke, doing so and kind of
giving the others a break for awhile. They went to Myrtle Beach,
in fact.
But, anyway, I'm using the dial-up connection down here; and,
usually, I need to wait till my mother goes to bed and then get
the email for the day. Thus, when I do this, I usually have
between two and three hundred email.
Now, so far this week, at least until yesterday, things
downloaded and deleted without a problem. However, last night
after I downloaded the email and had 302 email in my inbox, I
started kind of going through the messages and deleted the ones I
knew I wouldn't want to read. I started at the end with the
newest emails, and then went backwards from there, deleting the
first 43 I wanted with no problems.
But, when I went to delete the next message, I got the wonderful
announcement that the operation had completed successfully. Of
course, knowing that it indeed hadn't completed successfully, I
tried to exit the email program and then finally tried to free
database space and got the message that there is not enough disk
space. I got this message although I pretty much always have
over 100 MB free, and did so last night as well.
At any rate, I think I finally got my mPower back in regular
working order. And, I think it happened by following this
sequence: I first would go into the inbox and start reading
email, deleting each one as I went along. Then, second, usually
on the 8th message, it would take a long time for anything to
happen, and then I would get the dreaded the operation completed
successfully message, along with the words no subject. And,
third, upon tapping the space bar, I would then hear the word
from and then end of list. Then, fourth, upon hitting space with
E to try and exit the KeyMail program, I would get the message
that the drive cannot find the sector requested, getting this
before I was put back in the KeyMail menu. Then, fifth, after
doing another space with E to exit KeyMail, I would be prompted
to empty the trash of the 7 email, and I would say yes and then
be told that six email had been deleted. Then, sixth, when I
would go back to the KeyMail setup menu and try to free database
space, I would get the message that there is not enough space on
the disk. Now, once in awhile, I would actually get the message
operation complete 2047883 bytes freed, but this was just every
maybe 7th or 8th time. But, seventh, finally, when I got down to
having only eighty messages left in my inbox, the KeyMail program
somehow started behaving normally again, meaning it would delete
messages normally as I read them and I wouldn't get the error
about not being enough disk space when trying to free storage
space. So, grin, guess we'll see how long this fix lasts, and
I'll maybe try downloading a bit less email, at least for awhile.

Subject: [Braillenote] any suggestions of deleting e-mails when
the disk isfull
hi all!
im having a problem because apparently i downloaded emails to the
point
that the disk was totally full. i tried different ways of
deleting ie
marking a bunch of emails and then deleting them, trying to
delete
attachments.. none of that works. it always says "not enough
space". do
you have any suggestions how i can fix this problem without
deleting the
whole folder. any help would be appreciated. its hard to tell
when i am
getting close to the max because it doesn't tell me how much disk
space
there is left etc.
thanks for any help!!
