Subject: [Braillenote] bookshare

Hi List,
I tried to log in to bookshare with my bn and it would not let
me. I am typing in everything right. What is the problem?
Kizzy morning praise -- saturday
  by prayer partner pat

in my ears blasts a song by a group calling themselves "cross
culture." the main idea is this phrase, "she won't give in." it
speaks to the heart of my faith. in the song it speaks of a lady
who is not understood, perhaps not even popular, a woman
struggling with trials that feel unreal and yet "she won't give
in." won't give in to what? won't give in to the desire to just
quit her faith. one line i liked spoke of the fact that she is
meant for something, that she has a purpose, that god didn't just
put her through all of this for some unknown and perhaps cruel
reason. she has purpose. she matters. wow! what a waking
thought.

 "blessed is he
  whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered." psalm 32:1

i am so blessed! yes, you heard me right, blessed. though i
have sinned, yet i have been forgiven. when i think about that i
am amazed. sin, my sin, brings shame, guilt, pain and more.
forgiveness, god's forgiveness, brings healing and hope.

in the midst of doing good i did something bad. ever been
there? running to the aid of a friend in need i crashed into a
friend with a can of pop. words were spoken. i responded by
saying that i had something much more important to do than to
help clean up the very mess i had created. she then remarked
that i sure surprised her. "what kind of a christian are y...?"
we cleaned up the mess. i took off to the "emergency."
a few minutes later, when urgency had passed i felt awful. how
could i have done this? then the unthinkable happened. she came
up behind me and put her hand on my shoulder to get my attention.
she wanted my forgiveness. she wanted my forgiveness? it was i
who had been so mean. of course i also asked for her
forgiveness. this ended so well, but it also illustrates my
point that sin does bring shame, guilt, pain and much more, and
yet such freedom came with those words of forgiveness.
