Hi Marissa,
When you use an external device such as a network card, BrailleNote will
draw more power.
There is actually a way to check how much power is drawn: Go to
Options/Support Information mode (SPACE with O/Fn+O, then SPACE with
I/READ+I). Press J (for Joule). The negative number means that the power is
being drawn; the positive reading means that the battery is being charged.
The more negative the ampere (actually, milliamps) value means that more
power is being drawn.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] battery life

Hi all,

I just have a quick question about battery life. I'm noticing
that when I check my E-mail with the BrailleNote BT, I have to
charge it almost every day. Is this normal? I just got it in
March, and always charge the battery. Maybe it zaps more power
from it because it's using the network card? I'm not sure. For
those of you that use it to check E-mail like I do, can you help
here? I love this little piece of equipment, and wouldn't want to
do anything that was going to jeopardize battery life. Thank you
again for all your help.

Muically,
Marissa
