Hi folks,
I'm back after some days of absence.
While I was reading new messages in InBox, I happened to read an
individual's question about number of emails in a person's InBox. I also
happened to read the replies, which were somewhat shocking (not malevolent
here, folks).
I have few comments to make regarding this thread:
* In case you didn't know, this list is a public list. You can search Google
for keywords associated with this list (most prominent being the email list
which is used to post a message). So be careful on what you are saying.
* The question of number of email messages in a given day depends on how
many lists you are subscribed to. If you are subscribed to a low traffic
list, you would get anywhere between zero to one or two messages. If you are
subscribed to multiple lists (like some people do), you would get about
hundred messages (my record was around 250 messages in a given day). As to
answering this "amount of email" question, it's up to the person involved to
decide.
* Just because you received one rude message does not mean that this person
is offensive at all times. There were incidents where a person who was more
offensive than this individual was kcicked out of this list (you know what
I'm talking about). Ann has just asked some question that expresses some
concern, that's all. I understand how Blake feels - never understood the
inner workings of lists like this. He may know about BrailleNote and how to
use it, but he might not know about this list and its history, its functions
and so forth.
So what I recommend Blake is this: read the list archives to better
understand what kind of questions were posed on this list, the answers for
it and analyze the threads which were discussed on this list.
Cheers,
Joseph
