Thanks all for your suggestions. John, one of the mails on this thread
previously suggested that a 500GB drive might need power supply. Is it true
in your case? Or it varies from drive to drive?

Hello Joseph and list, yes Joseph you are very much correct. The Western
Digital 1TB is a 3.5 drive and requires a power adapter. Actually, the
1TB drive is two 500 GB drive in one inclosure. I have a Western Digital
500 GB drive. It works with the BN just beautifully. It is almost full
so it can be kind of slow at loading the directories, folders and or
files. Therefore, just be patient and you'll be just fine. As far as the
power adapter, be sure that you plug the power supply in before plugging
the drive into your notetaker. Anyway, the larger drives are great but
for traveling the smaller Western Digital drives can't be beat. They run
on power from the USB port. So, it's really useful on the go. I have a
160 and a 60 GB drives that I can use on trips. They can hold lots of
music, audio books or other files that one may need while traveling.

Hi there,
My guess would be yes, since 1 TB (Terabyte i.e. 1000 GB) would
be using
fAT32. I also believe that the era of terabytes has arrived -
soon, we would
see drive sizes in excess of few to even tens of terabytes in the
near
future.
Be aware though that this 1 TB drive might be a 3.5 inch drive -
this means
that, along wsith a USB cable, it requires power supply.
Cheers,
Joseph
