Hi, the SSID is the name of the wireless connection. Does your wireless
connection use some kind of encryption, such as wep or WPA? If it uses wep,
then you need to type the wep key into the "wep key?" prompt. If it uses
WPA, then I'm sorry, BrailleNote/VoiceNote doesn't currently support WPA,
however when the next KeySoft comes out WPA will hopefully be supported.
I'll definitely be upgrading if it does, as my wireless connection at home
uses WPA, and I don't wish to change the encryption just so I can use a
device like the BrailleNote mPower I have. Also, WPA is more stronger than
WEP. Hope this helps.

i have a braillenote pk, and i am currently attemtping to connect
wirelessly
to my home network. i currently have version 7.2, and the ambicom wireless
card. i've been able to connect other devices like computers and other
pdas
but not the braillenote. when i set up the wireless oconnection, i go to
connectivity, and set up a wireless conection, and follow the prompts.
braillenote tells me that i'm connected. but when i try to connect to the
interenet to any webb page, i get a cannot display webpage. have i missed
something. what is meant by ssid? i don't remember that from doing other
devices, and so maybe that's the problem. thanks.
