Hi, Steve Speicher wrote: "When spacing between words, the bn will with some frequency combine the space character with the last non-space character entered and treat that combination as a chorded command."
This behaviour is confirmed on a BrailleNote MPower BT 32 running KeySoft 7.5.29. "The problem is worse the faster I type, which makes me think there's a timing issue, or some feature of the hardware or software which blurs the boundaries between characters being entered. ... If it's not back translation that's causing the problem, what is it, and how do I fix it?" I suspect it's the fact that the BrailleNote acknowledges key releases rather than key presses. For example, when you press dot 1 for the letter A, the BrailleNote remains dorment. However, when you release dot 1, the BrailleNote acknowledges the fact and enters a letter A into the prompt. Can I suggest that you try almost bouncing your hands off the keys, making each press very deliberate and separate from the surrounding presses?
