I have State Farm, and I insure musical equipment as well. I'm using a
floater policy through Sandy Alva in Sacramento California.
If you need to contact me off list, I can give you the info to ask for.
I have home renters, but I also own a van as well. I'm putting everything
under one policy.

Subject: [Braillenote] Insuring BrailleNote PK
Hi:
Has anyone had experience (positive or negative) regarding insuring a
Braillenote? Normally, expensive computer equipment such as a laptop can
be covered under your homeowner's or renter's policy via an additional
rider called Miscellaneous Articles coverage at an additional cost.
State Farm Virginia refuses to insure my PK, but has no problem insuring
my laptop computer. I have provided them with a lot of info about the
PK. I also have not had a claim with State Farm in thirty years.
Thanks.
Scott
