It does not, but Adobe can save pdf files as readable files (I
have found that using version 9 inserts annoying format
characters into the text; version 8 works better). There is also
a free pdf converter that can do basic translations and even use
OCR to try to translate files made only of pictures of text. I
think the link for that is something like:

but that may be wrong.
