When you are in your document, do a space-with-b for Block
Commands, and then hit P to paste your text. Did you try that?

Subject: [Braillenote] trouble pasting
Hi Everybody,
I was refered to this mailing list by a friend because I'm having
some trouble pasting information from the clipboard into a word
processing document. I'v tried a J K L reset and that did not
fix the problem. I can copy the contact information from the
Navigator but when I try to paste it, it just places blank lines
in the place. Oh, I have a Voice Note MPower if that makes a
difference. Thank you.
