I think it would be better if people use computer braille instead of Nemeth Code or UEB because then the translation will be accurate. I have heard sighted teachers will accept print material translated from computer braille to print. I have also heard that some print symbols may be different from the normal way a sighted person might write them, but teachers will still accept the material.

Hi Alex - the support for UEB mathematics in KeySoft 7.5 is quite
adequate for both brailling and proofreading. However, when you back
translate your work, you will find that everything is spelt out,
rather than being appropriately written. It's been a while since I
did this so I don't remember precisely how things would be written,
but it would look something like 9 divided-by 3. This, unfortunately,
wouldn't be an acceptable manner for presenting your math to a sighted
evaluator.

You cannot do Nemeth on the bn, the tutorial teaches the code but
it does not let you translate it into printable text. The
closest you will get is UEB (ks7.5.17+) which has many symbols
for math and, in my view, is quite adequate.

Have a great day,
Alex

There is a Nemeth Tutorial on HumanWare's website. I saw the
link, but I was looking for something else at the time and did
not see what it was about.

Hi list. I am wondering if there are any braille tables I can
download that will allow my bn to support nemoth code?
