Hi Andrew and list, In my opinion, I prefer the dictionary as is - few reasons why: * If you look close at the size of the dictionary folder (Concise Oxfored Dictionary, that is), you'll notice that it is around 50 MB. Putting it in ROM means that there wouldn't be any space to put other things that must be in there, such as device info files, keysoft.exe and so forth. Besides, if the dictionary is moved to Flash Disk on the PK, then we would have a problem. * The dictionary is sold in US and UK versions. Because of pronounciation of UK dictionary (which takes about 500 MB of space), it is not possible to put dictionary as a ROM image. As to multilingual feature, I agree with it. Cheers, Joseph

Most of the time, unless you are looking up lots of words at once, the dictionary is only used for a few minutes and then closed until the next time someone wants to use it. Yes, the dictionary is awesome, and I'm glad I paid the extra I had to pay for it, but I really think, given the size of it, it should have been made part of keysoft with the games and radio and such. I can understand why sendero gps is separate, both because of the size of the maps and files needed to run it, but also because the people who want gps will probably be using it a lot more and for longer periods of time each time it is used compared to the dictionary. from Andrew ---- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Campbell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, September 25, 2008 5:53 AM Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Feature request: multi-linguel dictionaries Hi Orhan: What about those of us who don't want or need a multi-lingual dictionary? Sounds like an optional feature which those who want can purchase and those who don't want it do not have too. Kind of like the Oxford Concise dictionary. This all gets back to a suggestion I've made in the past that Humanware should offer suites of products for the Braille Note family so people can pick and choose what they want, similar to Microsoft's suites of products.
