The braille display seems to be attached to part of the speaker. The
speaker on the VoiceNote I used to have is much bigger. That's probably why
the speaker doesn't sound as well as it should.
But when I'm listening to an audio book and I want the BN to sound well, I
plug it into an external speaker I bought from Radio Shack years ago.
Although the speaker is mono, it makes the BN sound great!
