I've never used it, but I would suggest the database manager. it sounds like it would be the right thing to use.

Subject: [Braillenote] what utility can be used for keeping attendancerecords?

Hi all.
I have a friend who is teaching. He doesn't like to keep the attendance record on his computer. He wants to take the attendance using the bn (mPower qt 32) and keep records on the bn. Is there a program on the BN he can use? One way I could think of was to make a file with the students names and other details. Mark them absent or present on the day of the class and save that file as that date i.e. oc6_2008 and so on. Is it possible to do it without having to create many files? It will be hell lot of job looking in each file for each student at the end of the semester.
Thanks for suggestions.
Regards
TaraPrakash
