Hi, all. I'm looking for a 32 gb compact flash card to use with my
BrailleNote for storing GPS maps. I got one from Newegg, a company I think
really highly of, but I had nothing but problems with the card. My computer
seemed to think it could only hold 8 gigs, and wouldn't even let us explore
the card until it had been reformatted. Then sometimes it would think it
was FAT 32 format, and sometimes it would say it was raw format; and
sometimes it would recognize its higher capacity, and then after I got half
my maps downloaded, it would either say the card was full or that the
parameters were wrong or something. So I'm sending it back, and intend to
get a new one, but I'm nervous now. I've ordered compact flash cards online
for years, and never had a problem. Could it be a problem with my card
reader? Or could it be that I ordered the wrong type of card? My
BrailleNote recognized it right off as a 32 gb card, even when the computer
didn't; but when the computer said it was all full at just 8 gb, then my
BrailleNote also thought it was only 8 gigs. I just want to get a 32 gb
card that I know will work. Any thoughts?
