And I leave my home one plugged in especially for long period, e.g. I am gone for the weekend but taking the school BN. Nothing happens to it though.

On the contrary, I can leave my bn charging over night, and it is
fine. At what temperature do you have it charging? What you
could do is send me a recording of what you do and what happens
off list, and we could communicate like that? Cheers, Blake.

I think I've discovered the reasoning behind this display fry-up,
and that's putting it literally, since it was the charger that's
done it. I've just plugged the unit in to charge a few hours
ago, and it feels quite warm to the touch, which is quite
abnormal I think. That sort of thing fried the braille display's
inner workings overnight, and could likely do more damage if left
any longer. I inserted a pc card into the slot for a total of 2
minutes today and it came out feeling as though it has been
sitting in hot sunlight for hours. I'd be interested to see the
ethernet card once I take it out of this thing. Thanks for all
of your help though, it was greatly appreciated.
