The language thing is only available in documents, so at a menu or inside an application that does not do documents (like the games or a database) you will not be able to change the language. This is because there are no foreign languages available for the shell, so things like prompts and menus are only available in English (unless you get a different braillenote, I know of one for Korean but that is it). Open a document and try the language change. Open a text file and give it a try.

As to the calculator, I am not sure, but it could just be that the Germanand UK maths tables and very similar.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] possible bug

hi list.

I was playing around with some of the features in my braillenote
mPower today. In the options menu, their is an item called
"Announce using different language". However, when i pressed
enter on it, i just got an error beep and was returned to my
original position in keysoft. I am using a braillenote mPower
running keysoft 7,5 build 29 and i have all languages (french,
german, spanish and italian) enabled.

When i was in the calculator, i noticed that at the "Calculator
braille code?" prompt, their was an option called "German
Mathematics". When i had this option enabled, as far as i could
tell, nothing had changed from the uk version i was using. This
is strange because the speech changes when using one of the
french options.

Any feedback would be good.

Thanks.

technology: it's great when it works, but rubbish when it
doesn't!
