Hi all,
I feel incredibly stupid!!! The problem with the media file and wifi card causing my bn to freeze was real, but the subsequent problem with email was of my own making, although I obviously did not know this at the time. If you are reading this and are working at HW in California, and helped me today on the phone, you will most likely feel like strangling me after you read what I did. When I did the service reset, the bn's clock was of course set back to 7:00 on January 1, 2008. I did not reset the clock - I was too desperate to ensure my bn was still working properly - so I just hit enter to get through all the prompts. Therefore, when I downloaded the emails I thought had been somehow deleted by the bn after downloading, they were correctly placed in my inBox, way up in the list of emails I have stored in the inBox. Obviously, then, when I went to the end of the inBox where new messages go, they were not there because the bn thought it had received them back in January! There was no email problem, and it was my own fault that I thought there was one in the first place. I did learn, though, to not store anything in the "none" folder of my flash disk as it can cause errors and data corruption.

Have a great day,
Alex
