Zach,
do you mean the c3 key or the dot 3 key?
I've never been able to get the PK to start silently, that is with
Braille only if the speech is already turned on. In other words, the PK
always speaks first, then I have to turnn off the speech. Not terribly
subtle when in a quiet crowded room!
