As far as I know there is not a way to use the bn braille display
with vista. I have tried. If there is a way I would like to
know what it is please.

You can use the BrailleNote as a refreshable braille display via
serial
or Bluetooth connection. If your laptop does not have a serial
connection, you can get a USB to Serial adaptor at your local
computer
shop. JAWS insists on using a com port of 8 or lower. You may
have to
go into your control pannel under hardware and device manager and
re-assign your USB to Serial adaptor's port assignment.
If you use Bluetooth, let the BrailleNote initiate the Bluetooth
connection. You arre setting up a Virtual Serial connection.
Again, make
sure the Virtual Com Port is 8 or lower.
After your connection is set up, go under Options To Braille in
JAWS and
add BrailleNote as a refreshable display, choosing the correct
com port.
After everything is set up, don't forget to enter T from the
BrailleNote's Main Menu for "Braille Terminal for Screen Reader."

Subject: [Braillenote] connecting the BRAILLENOTE to a laptop?
Hello,
I was wondering how I can use the BrailleNote as a refreshable
braille display for a laptop using JAWS?
